I grew up in the Twin Cities, attended St. Thomas College determined to become an English teacher or a superb guitarist Instead I went into industrial sales and manufacturing. My wife and I started a number of businesses, some successful, some absolute failures. I started writing in 2002 and have had a number of short stories published. North Star Press will publish my first novel, “The Year God Forgot Us,” this summer. I’ve attached a synopsis.
My daughter became an English teacher and my son a fabulous guitarist. I believe that’s called “irony.” My grandchildren are so smart they will some day take over the world.
Until recently I was mayor of Gibbon, Minnesota. I finally discovered that it is easier not to get elected if you don’t run for office. I will miss all the late night calls about sewage backups and stray cats, but we all have to make sacrifices sometimes.
